How not be bothered about the bad?

We all face difficult situations in life. Agreed some are graver than others. But some habits can help us sail through the tough times a bit more easily. Sharing a few here!

Not losing hope ever

Easier said than done but it is possible to develop a positive mindset that remains active even in adversity. As they say, “nothing is permanent in this world.” Bad times are also a phase. They will also pass. What seems unbearable today will become just an experience tomorrow. Just keep going. Hold your head high even in adversities and you will be proud of yourself tomorrow.

Avoid too much attachment

As social beings, we always try to look for happiness in a herd. We feel we need someone else to complete us, to make us happy. We want to stay surrounded by people who admire us, share similar thoughts, give positive vibes, show affection, and when this doesn’t happen, especially during tough times, we are unable to bear the burden. Why so? You should be your best friend. Yes, sometimes you need ears to listen to your woes but that unavailability should not add to your problems. You yourself know your problem the best and the solution to that as well. Spend time with yourself, enjoy your company always. Others are welcome but not necessary.

Saying no to gossips

Some situations do bug us. We may get hurt, feel humiliated, feel wronged but ranting about it to everyone you come across will do no good. Not only will you be living through the hurt again and again but also giving others an unwanted opportunity to analyze your situation and you, be judgmental, give unwanted advice, and more. There’s nothing wrong in sharing your grief with someone close, but gossiping about people will do no good to you, rather channelizing your energy into something constructive like reading a book, watching a show would help. Try it next time someone hampers your peace of mind!
